About Me
I’m Florence, but friends just call me Flo. I grew up with Southern Illinois roots but have a heart full of Chicago soul. About 27 years ago, I swapped the slow pace of small-town life for the hustle and energy of the city, eager to make my mark (boots and all).
My time in Chicago was packed with big moments: earning my bachelor’s degree in design, building friendships, and meeting the love of my life (we’ve been together for 18 years!). I’m also a proud mom to my 22-year-old son, Josh, and stepmom to our amazing 21-year-old daughter, Lucy.
In 2021, my spouse and I felt it was time for a change of pace. We said goodbye to city living and hello to Naperville. These days, life is a little slower, a little greener, filled with travel, nature, and plenty of chances to spot some wildlife.
When I’m not working on creative projects, you’ll find me behind the camera. Photography keeps me inspired.
And in 2022, I even surprised myself by running my very first 5K!
I’m always looking forward to new connections and the next adventure this chapter brings.
